One of the draws of this product for me was the fabric bins, as opposed to the plastic that most organizers of this type use. I liked the look of the fabric better, and I'm trying to reduce the amount of plastic in the house because of current health concerns with plastics. When I opened the shipping package however, I was overcome by a strong chemical odor. I thought maybe it was the packaging, but soon realized that it was coming from the bins. I actually set them outside to "off gas" for a few hours, but I can still smell it whenever I get near the organizer. Obviously, I'm concerned about what is making this smell and how inhaling it or touching it might affect my kids' health. I'm trying to decide whether to try to wash them (problematic because of the cardboard inside the fabric), put them outside again to see if I can air them out, or just chuck the bins and try to find similar size containers that don't stink! I agree with the other positive things said about this product, but I probably would not buy it again.

I received this organizer five days back and opened it immediately to assemble. I found that one of the vertical bars was broken and shorter than the rest. It is completely useless and un-usable and so I contacted the seller to arrange for return of this item. I have yet to hear back from them. I will never purchase anything from them again.

I purchased this the other day because

1) My almost-two-year-old has a ton of toys, both big and small
2) I have little storage for said toys
3) The cloth bins looked a bit kinder if he decided to throw them around
4) It was (at the time) the least expensive item due to the free shipping

It met my expectations. It was relatively easy to put together, the instructions were not hard to figure out, and all I needed was a phillips head screwdriver and about 40 minutes (I did it by myself during naptime). The holes for some of the wooden dowels were stripped, so you may want to use wood glue as you screw them in. The holes are not all drilled exactly where they should be, but with enough tightening of the screws it all works out. The cloth and cardboard boxes fit nicely and look nice in it. It fits a fair amount of small toys, and I plan on buying another one just like it in the near future.

Please be aware that it will tip over if a tot is trying to pull him or herself up on it. For safety reasons, you should really attach the frame to the wall if you know your toddler is going to pull on it to stand. The good thing is that it's really lightweight just in case you don't...

UPDATE- I've since upgraded to a 12 cube bookshelf with the fabric cube bins and I like that a lot better. It holds more toys and is much sturdier. For example: ClosetMaid 8644 9-Cube Organizer, White
